AND1 Street Baller Troy “Escalade” Jackson Reported Dead at 35

According to multiple reports, AND1 basketball player and street ball mixtape star Troy “Escalade” Jackson passed away in his sleep last night in Los Angeles. He was 35-years-old.

Jackson appeared in just 20 games at Louisville from 1996-98. He averaged 3.0 points and 1.6 rebounds but was more known for his size (6-9, 350 lbs.) and surprising agility, a pair of qualities which helped him gain notoriety while playing streetball for the AND 1 Mixtape Tour.

In his first public appearance since requiring stitches in his lip from a Friday basketball game, President Barack Obama took his family out to a basketball game at Howard University Saturday night.

Howard played Oregon State, whose head coach happens to be the president’s brother-in-law, Craig Robinson. Final score: Oregon State 84-Howard 74.

NCA&T’s “Tweet” Cook Makes 1st Team All-MEAC

GREENSBORO – The North Carolina A&T women’s basketball team won its third straight MEAC regular-season title and was rewarded for it. Five Aggies earned postseason honors headed by senior Ta’Wuana “Tweet” Cook’s first selection to the first-team all-MEAC squad.
